An Incident Response Vehicle, such as the one shown, are the backbone of the police. These vehicles are operated by Response officers who attend various jobs including crimes involving weapons as well as jobs such as missing persons, door-to-door enquiries and assisting their PCSO and Staff colleagues

Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection (PaDP)

The vehicle shown is one of many marked vehicles that the PaDP operate.

This is a Marked Personnel Carrier that is identifiable by the "Metropolitan Police" livery and the distinctive Red bodywork. This identifies that the vehicle is used by PaDP and not just any other standard BCU. Additionally, PaDP don't use letters to identify their vehicles, rather, they use numbers. Such as "66", like shown, or "84".
